Hey Guys,

Just was wondering if anyone has the power steering and or the A/C setup on there sr20det motor. If so, where did you get the supplies and how hard was it to do? Summer is now ending, so A/C isnt on the top of the list, but parking in parking lots and trying to manuver is tight places, power steering could be alot of help!

I still have my old KA, so if I can use any stock parts to make it work on the SR let me know. Thanks for any and all input.

ill field this one... It depends what year your car is for the A/C. im assuming you have an s13? If its 91-93 you can use the ka24de compressor, if not you need to take one off the 91-93 or use the Sr's. Power steering same thing, you gotta take the rack and pinion off a 91-93 and all the lines. And if you asked those two questions and have a 89 or 90, u probably dont know u need a tach off a 91-93 also. Basically having a 91-93 240 can save u a lot of time in the install. Personally i say screw power steering, who needs that ****. Datsun style all the way!

I have a 1990 240sx, with a 1993 SR20det engine already installed. I have had the new engine for about 3 months now. I knew about the tach, and have the new tach installed, but didn't know about the other situations. I love the car to death, but I am a everyday driver and it's nice to have a few standard options such as power steering in tight parking spots and A/C in the hot *** heat here.

i take it you didnt install it yourself or else youd know about this stuff. Just take the rack and pinion and all the lines for the power steering from a 91-93, and take the ac compressor and the lines too. Then just hook it al up and ur done! u have to go to a place to get ur ac hooked up with freon though... but dont worry about that now

My car doesn't have ps or ac...I can live with it. It's an 89 coupe with red top sr20det.

Did you also buy the car with the SR installed? Mine will have A/C since that is not going to be a problem hooking up. Im going to drop the power steering just because it is a loss of power, and iv gotten used to driving manual steering datsuns, its not bad at all. Of course the Ac pump is a major drain but there is an on/off.
