My power steering pump went on my 1990 240SX. This model has a separate belt to drive the pump. Can anybody think of any problems I might encounter by removing the belt and driving without power steering until time allows me to replace the pump?

Nope you won't have any problems at all. I have had the belt off for about 2 months now and I drive a lot (delivery driver). I actually like the increased road feel from having the power steering removed and it isn't that hard to turn.

My 89 240sx's, both of them, dont have the water pump running off the PS pump belt. That belt only runs the ps pump.
