Just recently got my hands on an 89 coupe.. everything from off to on works fine, cranks, everything, I kill it, engine turns off, all acc. items turn off but all of my dash lights (seatbelt, ebrake, door, oil press. all the usual ones) stay on... I have swapped or tested ALL of the relays on the car, fuses have all been check... and I'm just simply stumped.... anyone got any ideas? could it be my key ignition is just not working right and not killing all the power or what?

if you take off the covers to your steering column, on the opposite side of the ignition, there's two small philips screws that hold the white switch box that the ignition turns. You can manually turn the switch with a flat head screw driver. It may just turn back too far or something is touching on the inside of the switch where when you turn it back to off, it actually makes contact in there to turn all the accessories back on. Just a thought. I've seen this happen on some dsms.

Aight guys, I kinda left a big void in what lights and everything, specifically it is the door, seatbelt, and ebrake lights, they are all wired together in part of the wiring, the diode is fine, the relay is fine, but something is holding a charge and keeping the relay open (89 coupe, top relay, no power windows) I've looked through the FSM and tried sourcing it but I'm stuck....any ideas?

I got into the wiring with a voltmeter... I've got a bad ground but I have NO idea where the ground for the Ignition Switch Relay is... I've looked through the FSM for it and I'm still lookin... anyone got any ideas?
