power shut down on high rpm
Need help on figuring out a problem on a 92 300 zx and a local shop. Car is standard transmission and Recently when you drap the gears out to about 5-6k rpm after you shift up and get back on gas there is no power, if you back off the gas and get back on with ease then car operates fine. also if you dont drag gears, car works fine. checked fuel filter, cleaned intake and air filters. Looking for a reputable shop in the ft lauderdale area to work on my car. Thanks for your help.

Sorry havent checked for codes, waiting to get a referral for a good Z tech, dont want to take a regular shop where these guys may experiment. fuel filter has not been changed in a long while, thought about doing it but then figured that if it was that, the problem would be consistent at various speeds and rpm. this problem is troubling cause it only occurs when you pull the gears out. i will change the fuel filter anyway, cause that is the first suggestion that comes to mind. thanks for your help and if you figure anything else let me know.
