power seats

3 months out of warranty and dealer wants $1400 to repair driver seat.Also have QX4 which has also been serviced there but they will not work with me. Any ideas to do it myself or how to save major bucks.

Had my driver seat done under the Nissan extended warranty.They said that the motor came with the bottom assembly and the parts were 700+. I would think you could do it yourself with the FSM.

Looked for used parts? Watch ebay? Non-warranty parts via dealership is always expensive.

not only won't they work with me ,I was stupid enough to go in there last week to look at new cars and used. Thanks for the help though.

Interesting. I just posted something similar having to do with my G35 and the driver's power seat which no longer works properly. Of course, mine is more than 3 months out of warranty, and they want $1100. I escalated to the district service manager to no avail. I think the power seat assemblies on the older infinitys are defective. I am pursuing it with some consumer agencies and may even contact the US DOT. In the end, I will have to get it fixed, but I have not given up yet.

Let me know how that turns out. They offered me and extended warranty 2 yr 24000 miles for $1000. Might do it and sell the car. Also just curious, do you have dirt inside the sealed headlamps? I do and its driving me crrazy , can't clean that, sealed headlight assembly.
