Power Seats

I realized a couple of months ago that my front seat and the steering wheel stopped moving everytime I turned of the car. I checked the fuse boxes and owners manual and could not find a fuse that I could connect to this function. Does anyone have any idea why this function would stop working. All of the motors work fine to move the seat and steeing by the controls. I have a 1996 Q45t with 107,000 miles. Thanks for your help

Did you disconnect your battery at any time? I think this function has to be programmed/re-set. Mine didn't do it the one time I tried to after I dis-connected my battery as part of the fuel pump replacement.

We discussed this and the tilting side mirrors, when the car's in reverse a couple fo weeks ago.

Check your cancel switch for that function.It's on the left of the steering column right next to the stalk ofr the light switch.

90% of the time when folks complain about that function not working, they inadvertently depressed the cancel switch.

I hit that button with my leg all the time......

On a similar note, a friend's wife was once complaining that the memory button on their 93Q was not working anymore. She would push 2 (after the friend drove it and set it to 1) and nothing would happen. I asked her if she had had the car engaged in gear when she tried it ... problem fixed!
