mine is fixed for now. i took the seat out (not completely, but off the floor anyway) and looked at stuff, took some pictures too. there was a rubber tube that covered a little cord thing that went from one side directly to the other side. i messed with it a little and now it works but the rubber tube rotates with the cord and it makes a weird noise some of the time. oh and mine is an NA->TT Conversion.
here are the pics i took. just for the heck of it. not sure why not all the wires are plugged in.
you can see it in this next picture. it's the rubber tube that the red wiring in my hand is touching. it goes from a little white thing on the left (drivers side of seat) to a bigger white thing connected to a big motor on the right side. i guess the rubber tube was somehow impeding the cord from turning or something. i messed with it a little and now it works. by mess with i mean turn and move back and forth in place. there was a lot of dust under there too, i should have vacuumed it while it was up but i was too lazy. sounds like my problem is potentially different than yours though.
EDIT: one more thing, on mine that red wire with the loop at the end was bolted down as a ground to one of the studs that the back end of the seat bolts down too. LOL! the wiring in my car is f***ed. haha. used to have turbo timer, remote starter, it has aftermarket audio stuff, aftermarket alarm. haha. the wiring is all hacked up. anyway, talk to you later.
