Power seat memory buttons and function question

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Is anyone having an issue trying to store your memory seat in the button 1 and/or 2. I followed the book 20 times and the memory light does not light up when it has been stored. I can't get the memory buttons to work. It does cancel the activation, but that is all, when both buttons light up.

Don't you press set, then number 1 or 2 to set the memory? It is suppose to blink.

Does anyone know how to do this? Something so simple is eatting my lunch.

Thanks.

The instructions in the manual under MEMORY STORAGE on page 3-25 worked for me. When you pressed the number 1 or 2 button, did you hold it down for at least 1 second?

+1 I followed the instructions given in the manual (including linking to my iKey) and everything worked perfectly.

To program the setting:1. Put car in Park.2. Put ignition to ON (with key present and foot OFF brake, 2 presses of the ignition button)3. Adjust seat position as desired.4. Push SET switch and within 5 sec, hold in the desired memory button for at least 1 sec.

To use the setting:1. With car in Park ...2. ... within 45 sec of opening the driver's door, hold in the desired memory button for at least 1 sec.

Guys, I apprecaite your help, but it didnt work. My wife and I did this like 15 times. Nothing. I think my memory buttons do not work. Are there suppose to be a blinking or steady light on the button that comes on. Please help.

Guys, Update: So I am not going crazy. The service manager told me today that something is wrong with my memory seat buttons. I was performing the operation right and it still did not work. What a load off of my mind.

Update: The dealer fixed my memory buttons. When another dealer installed the telescopic motors beause of the recall in March 2009, they pulled the pin out of the molex connector that operates the memory seat buttons. All is good now.

After my steering column replacement (telescope stopped working and made grinding noise), the seat memory for telescope hasn't worked anymore either, so maybe it's the same for me... Darn Inifiniti of Manhattan!!!
