Power Rear Seats- bad motor?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hi All!

Newbie to the forums- just picked up my EX this weekend only to have to turn around and send it in for service today.

While showing off to the family (less than an hour from driving away from the dealer) the power seats wouldn't go back up (went down no problem, but I had to manually put it back up). Called my salesperson but of course service was done for the day.

Anyway, brought it in and the service mgr says it's a bad motor- has anyone have this happen to them? They are ordering the part in and say I will have the car back by Wed- but it's just a bummer to already know that the "new" is already gone.

Otherwise, love the car!

Just picked up my EX few days ago. Same problem with one exception - one power seat does work without any issues. Another one does not go back up - have to do it manually as well. Will go back to dealership soon to ave this checked

Congrats on the new EX, sorry to hear your early troubles.

That's honestly the first I have heard about a seat motor not working. Did it make any type of sound while it was not working, or struggle to move, I am just curious.

Steve, I don't yet know what my problem is - could be a bad motor or a bad/missing fuse - not sure yet. Will take it to dealership some time soon.On my car it doesn't make any noise whatsoever - when I press a button - just nothing happens - I have to pull the seat back manually. I'll reply to this post once i get this fixed and share what was wrong
