Has anyone tried replacing the power radio antenna on our cars? I'd love to replace it with one of those flex/rubber antennas made for off-road...had one of those on my Jeep and I loved it. Not sure if it would be a direct bolt-on fit since other stationary antennas simply screw off. I didn't mind the power antenna too much when I first bought the car since with the stock radio installed, the antenna would only be up when listening to the radio and down any other time (cassette, CD, etc). Any help is appreciated...thanks!

Simple as pie, cost ya $2

Pull out your cd player and tap into the power antenna blue wire, I just extended the wire with some speaker wire so I had the length to make it to the location I picked and put it on a basic toggle switch, only comes up when I need it
