When I put my foot on the brake the clock in the cluster dims, but not the headlights. The car now runs ALOT better after I changed the alternator, optima redtop, alternator power to battery cable, batt ground, ignition coil and ignitor, and added the buddy club condensor. No there is not a system or anything extra added to the car that would draw power. Is there anything that controls how much amperage the alternator produces?

I got a cheap voltage stabilizer on ebay and that fixed my problems with power spikes. Just make sure you use the correct grounding points.
