first post!I recently purchased a 1991 240sx and am trying to restore it as much as possible before starting any modifications (its at 196k miles). The current problem I've ran into has to do with the electrical system. The battery is recently re-charged, the alternator was tested and works. The problem is whenever I start the car I get only enough power to light up the lcd clock on the dash. To get enough power to get everything electrical up and running I need to rev the engine quite a bit, 2 or 3 revs up to 4k usually do the trick. Any ideas?

did you have the battery tested? what kind of test did they run on your alternator? an actual load test? or just to see what your volts output is?

Oh actually I'm not sure about the alternator. I took it to autozone where they tested it and all I got was a "alternator is good" from the dude doing the testing, so I just figured everything was fine. The battery is good, has been sitting for a while, but was recharged and deemed as a working battery.
