Hi, I'm brand new to this forum. Just bought a new 2014 Rogue SL AWD last week.

Anyway, I noticed that when I turn the engine off, my Garmin GPS does not turn off because it does not detect a loss of power from the power outlet. In my previous car the Garmin would automatically go through a shutdown countdown because no more power was coming through outlet. This is not case with my new Rogue. I noticed with the engine completely off, the power plug that goes into the outlet still has its red light on.

Is this normal? It's actually really annoying. In the manual (page 2-42) it says that the power outlets do not produce power if the engine is off but I don' t think this is true.

Bryan1up,
That is somewhat true. The system will kill power after approximately 5 minutes. That being said, it is only for the front outlets, the trunk outlet is constant power.

There's an outlet in the trunk?
