Suspension, Everyone will tell you that

what’s the point of going fast if you can’t handle the power

stock suspension can take the stock sr without a problem. best part for suspension should be tires. get the sr and some grippy tires and you'll have a good time. FYI, there's no such thing as one more important than the other, the key is balance especially when you say you want to setup something for drift.

i agree with D1sr240 and 180fan.....however i would go for suspension first....especially in your case....you are a newbie drifter and the KA will provide sufficient power for learning. a good suspension set-up with communicate much more to the driver than a stock set-up.....anyone that has invested in a good suspension set-up will agree with that. and reason number two the suspension can be had for less $$$....if your planning on doing the motor right.

my reccomendation is Tein...(HE coilovers and adjustable tie rods is a good start)..cuz i'm a tein freak.......but it is really preference.....so do some research...and you will have a better understanding of what you need or want to fit your specifications.

a QUALITY suspension will make your car a whole different experience (as would a motor)

if drifting is your goal.....get a LSD along with the suspension

if your looking for some fun while cruising around, I say power, if you want to have fun drifting, I would also say suspension and lsd first.

Power is no good without control.

I would also reccomend a brake upgrade. Should be a tuning law;more power means better brakes.

both, what fun is it to have thousands of dollars worth of multi links and no power. to start i would go with some coils and an lsd. then go from there. as for brakes since you're startin out just get some nice pads/ ss lines/ and slotted rotors.

Get the sr20 swap and then get coilovers and LSD. That the path I am taking.

if you want to drift...

GET AN LSD!!!!and a pair or two of junkyard wheels and tires for them.

everything after that, upgrade it as your skill increases.
