I want to add power lumbar support to the 1990-1993 Q45, But I need a little help. In the service manual and Nissan FAST there is no mention of any motors or wiring diagrams. Nissan FAST does list a switch for which I assume is the power lumbar support.

I know: 1994-1996 Q45's have drivers seat power lumbar support. 1997-2001 Q45's have drivers and passenger seat power support.

As far as I know the seat frames are the same 1990-1993 then 1994-1996 as far as drivers and passenger seat goes.

Questions:

Is it as simple as adding the switch and power and a ground?Where is the motor mounted on the 1994-1997 Q45?Are 1990-1993 and 1994-1996 Q45 seat frame the same or really similar?

Easy part: Adding the switch to the seats and wiring it up

Hard part: finding and adding the motor to the seat

I have some many luxury idea's that I need to add some performance to my car to keep it from slowing down, or lose 100 LBS.

I have decided not to attempt this because I can't get this to work with the Automatic Driver Postioner system. So with out it attached you would have to adjust the lumbar support manually instead of through the preset switches.

Adding lumbar support is very doable but my reasons for not doing it are already stated previously.
