Hello, I am new to this group.
I need help with a power issue. I purchased a 93 2+2 Non Turbo as is for $1000, and it needed work...
Well after alot of work (timing belt. drive belts, heat core, AC complete, CAS) it starts within 5 turns and drops to idle at 750 to 900 rpm's.
As soon as accessories are added ( full load) rpm's drop below 500 and struggle to recover. Most noticeable with AC and Defrost. Checked all connections Vac hoses.
Checked output voltage at Batt terminal (positive side) 14.1-14.11 without accessory load, output with load 12.8v and drops to 12.24 with full load.
Note: TPS set to .45-.46v , and was only able to achieve 1k ohm at full accelerator release with adjustment.
Also Note: CAS setting not Timing light calibrated.
In gear rpm's drop to 600 without load and stalls (sometimes) with load.
Could alternator be failing.

Sounds to me like either you have too much drag from your accessories which could be caused by bad bearings or more than likely your IACV or more specifically your FICD is failing or failed. Check the FSM for troubleshooting procedures.
