power loss while backing up a hill

Anybody else experienced trouble backing up a hill? On several occassions my V has lost power. It does not seem to be getting any gas - it just sits there.

I have reported it to Transport Canada, but they say I am the only one they have heard from...

Well, right after a minor fenderbender my V couldn't pull off the small grassy incline back on to the road, I had to reverse to where it was a more even inlination

What transmission do you have?

I've found the CVT isnt all that great at reversing.

CVTs are not designed to run in reverse, I believe there is a seperate reversing gear contraption in there... not sure how it works, to be honest.
