I would consider replacing the fuel filter if it hasn't been replaced in a while and/or the quality of the fuel is questionable in your location.

"Officially, Nissan recommends changing the fuel filter when the Pathfinder doesn't respond well when you press the gas pedal. As a preventative measure, however, you should change your fuel filter on a regular basis. I recommend changing it every two years, as a preventative measure.

A clogged fuel filter can cause poor acceleration, rob power, and reduce fuel economy. Using a clogged fuel filter also puts a strain on the fuel pump and can cause it to fail prematurely."
