The locks are electric, and there is a little brain that controls them if I remember correctly. Do you have a service manual or anything for the car? I'm sure it would be really easy to disable them if you got access to the little computer.

Either the lock itself is just gunked up and moves sluggishly or the electric actuator itself is the sluggish culprit.

I have a similar issue on my driver side lock when I use my keyless.

so i would have to spray it with lubricant or somethin? the car has been sitting for a little over a year, so maybe gunk could have built up? hmm

Easy fix... The actual locking device is push/pull solenoid with a rod attached. They are pretty cheap to get brand new from autoloc, cobra, etc. They just wire right in and its easy to reach. Plus they engage really quick and strong. I've always had a thing with the widows going up and down to slowly on Nissans too. Still working on that one though...

haha my windows go kind of slow too.

used to go slow on my old truck too, ended up just pulling out the motors and replacing them with new motors and they worked a-ok again. might do that to the 240 if money rolls around.

but they still go up and down, so its not an issue!

so the solenoid/rod is easy to swap out??
