power locks on base model s14, without oem power locks

hey, I recently got a 1995 S14 basemodel, with zero options. I would like to add a power lock on both doors, similiar to the S13 SE set up. On my S13, if you open the drivers door with the key, both locks unlock. and if you lock the drivers door, both locks lock.

My s14 came with a very basic aftermarket alarm system with ignition cut off, and alarm, where if you open the doors, and do not disarm the alarm within a few minutes, the alarm goes off. There are two buttons on the remote. only one is functional where it arms or disarms the alarm.

I would imagine that its not very hard to install an aftermarket power lock system where disarming the car, would unlock both door locks, and arming the alarm would automatically lock both doors as well.

has anyone have any experiences with this, and if so what issues should i be prepared for.

I have a base model s13 with no options also. I installed an alarm with the help of a friend's friend, and installed door lock actuators as well. It was a pretty easy install, I did the actuators in 30 minutes.

The actuators runs to the brain of the alarm telling it to lock or unlock. You would need to simply wire it up to your alarm to the power door lock and that's it!

hey vlow, cool...where did you get these actuators. can i get oem actuators or something? or are these the actuators that came along with the alarm kit?

Or you just want both the power locks to lock and unlock at the same time.

I'll guess #2, as EVERY S14 has power locks.

If so, just find the right wires and splice them together...

My s14 did not come with power locks. Not all of them do. I had to also install door actuators and run the wire and connect it 2 my alarm.
