Hey guys, firstly done a ton of research .. come up with alot of answers but there's a few things left off.... also none of these power lock/window topics seem to have an ending.. maybe this one can.
I have an 09 S manual everything and an 07 SL (intelligent key) that was a parts car I have all interior harnesses and parts from the 07 except the intelligent key ignition and antenna.
First I swapped the trunks. the SL had a power mechanism on the trunk lock cylinder and after swapping them, my drivers side door lock(Manual) now automatically locks or unlocks the truck access button.
I have swapped 3 of the 4 doors and am in the process of trading the lock cylinders in the drivers doors to maintained my keyed doorlocks from the 09. Once I have the master switch of the drivers door on, I should be able to find out if the power door locks will automatically work or not.
I have the BCM and full interior harnesses as well as other parts from the SL, but i'm hoping not to have to get that detailed on my S for the conversion. I also believe that I can rewire the window units to work door by door if that's the absolute necessity, but I would prefer swapping in the correct BCM.
What I need insight on is .. the 07 intelligent key bcm... does anyone think if I swap it, that it will work without having the intelligent key, or antennae connected. and If not then I would conclude I need an 09 bcm with power windows activated. In either case witht he swap of the BCM do I have to recode the keys to them in order to crank, or will it see my original key as a correct option?
note: the 07 SL had the *NATS* system, My 09 does not.. but will not crank with a normal silver cut key and it will lock cranking until i use a key in my drivers door.
I thank you for any insight possible. --I've swapped the seats, working on swapping in the armrest, the bluetooth optioned stereo and possibly cruise control if I can understand it's wiring.
