How much horsepower are you guys trying to reach?

Does anyone know exactly how much horse power the a/c 3.5 has to the wheels? I'm guessing about 230 or so.

Im trying to reach about 300-320.

300 hp would be 30 more hp... it's very doable. i mean theres even a A/C with 447 WHP or something like that, which is like 550 hp or something. plus that's without cams and other stuff. plus later on if someone gets forged internals and goes with more boost, it'll be even faster. i mean 550 hp with just the artisan kit, you could get it to 600 hp with more mods. but a lot of people on here like to think that since it has 270 hp, you could spend $1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 on it and you'll be LUCKY to get it to 275 hp.

300-320 sounds good, if you want more then you gotta go with turbo or supercharger (when/if they come out with it). my goal is to be around 300-320 also. maybe in the way distant future, i could turbo it or something if i still want more power.

a goal of 300-320 WHP sounds reasonable out of the 3.5. I could get that out of my 2.5 if I really wanted to, lol, but 200 WHP would make me happy.

my goal is to feel crushed in my seat when I accelerate. I'm guessing between 100hp to 150hp more should do it

i'm thinking about 450hp to the wheels will do it for me. turbo + mild shot of nos to be used only at the track of course. but i'm not going to do anything drastic until i get another daily driver.

Yep. Close as I've come to that sensation lately was in my brother's GTO. Those things are sick, but the milage on one would kill me.

270 flywheel horsepoewr. That means about 15-20 percent loss.

270 x .15 = 40.5 270 - 40.5 = 229.5 whp

270 x .20 = 54 270 - 54 = 216 whp

175 flywheel horsepower.

175 x .15 = 26.25 175 - 26.25 = 148.75

175 x .20 = 35 175 - 35 = 140

Hope that helps. As a sidenote.. doesn't it bother anyone that the 2.5s has less horsepower than the se-r? I mean it's a sentra....... and they have the same qr25 engine..

yea 100 more hp is a good amount out of a turbo kit. With those number you would be looking at over 8 psi. Would you be willing to risk your motor?

If you're intercooled you should be ok with 8 psi

does anyone know why?? Is it a reflash? or is it actual parts like headers and cams etc. Because I really wanna boost the hp but use the ser parts

Both. The se-r and spec-v get upgraded internals and different ECU maps, I think. Maybe waiting for nismo r-tune parts to come out would help us 2.5ers break 200 flywheel hp...

I heard the engine is unreflashable. They made it pretty damn well. what internals are upgraded? and i went on nismo's site.. r-tune will void the whole warranty they said.. no sure what that means anyone clarify? Also Mr.Music.. don't forget we dont have to wait for altima coupe parts.. just get teh sentra ser parts.. same engine evverything should fit rite?

"should" is the key word. I wont say that they do fit until I try it, lol. Anyway, I don't know much about flashing the ECU, but I think the Sentra's have a totally different unit, actually. As far as the internals, all I remember from what I read was the cam shafts; there were other things, but I don't remember what they were. (been to busy reading about copyright for my music business class) And yes, the R-tune parts would send the warranty into the toilet. I think Iv'e made up my mind not to do much to my car until the warranty expires. I doubt that anything would go wrong, but who knows...

Looks like Stillen was getting about 200HP stock and with the Injen 209HP at the wheels.
