reminds me of micro-tech i think its called

just like that it also seems like way to much money for an safc that runs a map sensor. rather have a tunned ecu and safc for the same price. got to have come kind of timing control for $900

structure, but i just like the idea of not having to have the maf sensor anymore, i dispise the touchy maf sensor

my next question about it, other then the price would you use it, and combine the price of a new z32 maf or cobra maf and a safc then the price of a tuned ecu would it cost more or less to purchase this map-ecu?

do you have to buy a map sensor for it? or does it come with one to install?

z32 maf - $125jwt ecu - $500safc -$200

slightly lower cost and plug and play basically. you dont really need the safc but jsut for fine tunning. with the map ecu you would still need a computer to tune it right?

i would like to ditch the maf jsut so i wouldnt have to run an intake pipe. i personally havent had any problems with my maf's; stock or z32

the biggest thing is that it cant control timing. so whats the use of having a standalone fuel management when you wont be able to run over 10psi from not being able to control timing

yeah your lucky structured that your car runs good even with the BOV VTA. mine ran like ****. i also think that map ecu is pretty cool, but too bad it cost too much. i would run it in conjunction with the JWT ECU.

what can i say im a pro

i think im more lucky that i can max out my 550's with jsut the safc and that my stock ecu is retarding timing. 11sec stock ecu 240 is gonna be a little impressive

i thought that the safc couldnt control timing, but that the emanage can? also you could just the that map ecu and then a msd btm, but not sure how much the msd btm is... even so if your going to be spending close to a grand for this anyway.... why not just spend a little more and get the aem standalone?

I think the MAP ECU sucks.

There are too few maps and no timing adjustments. No cold start so you can chose to start the car cold and not hot or start the car hot and not cold. Drivability sucked at tip in and for some reason getting off the throttle and then back on (ie shifting) there was a delay getting fueling again.

I speak from experience. We recently finished a MKIII Supra we did with a 2JZ transplant and used the MAP ECU per customer request.

ivan, thanks for the fast response, i'll look into those, and i have a question for you, would a flexible pipe such as a low pressure return line for a turbo work for an egr tube if it was a bigger diameter?
