Power Folding Mirrors

Can someone tell me which year the power folding mirrors on the QX became an option and when/if it became standard??

Also, how do the operate? Do they fold in when turning the car off, and is there a button somewhere inside to turn this option on and off?? I am about to buy one and they say this option is on there but no one there knows how they operate. Thanks for your help..

I believe the '08 model was the first year to have the power folding mirrors, I actually have an '08 Armada myself. They operate by pressing a button next to the window and lock controls. You depress the button and it locks in the down position (the mirrors fold in at this point), and if you press the button again, it releases the button (mirrors fold back out). Hope this helps you out, it is a nice feature when you are in a tight parking situation, and some car washes.

I don't think so, that would cost quite a bit, and it would be a rather extensive project.

i thought you just buy the power mirrors and the control then rewire some of the wires, no?

Thanks, I am not sure when it became standard but I know an 06 I testdrove had it. Very nice feature for a vehicle thats so big..I would luv to install something like this too,,,prolly very time consuming though

2006+ came standard with the power folding mirror and turn signal arrow ( and i think auto dimming too..not sure)

2005 and under was not an option...it just never came out, this is why i wanna swap my mirror to 2006 +
