Okay, finally my car idles good now. Heres what I did---I looked over the wiring and intercooler hose---everything checks out good. Checked the wiring to the maf---it was good. Then I unplugged the maf to check that---that was my problem. I accidently bent a metal clip from the male adapter on the maf. Bent it back and it was good to go. So it was my fault that it didnt idle right---didnt think about it because my maf was cleaned in between the ecu changes. But another problem arised---exhaust is blowing heaps of grayish black smoke. I believe its my turbo. This sucks because it was a brand new turbo from Precision too. My only guess would be the seal which still sucks, but Ill have to check that later. Thanks for you guys' input so far.

Grayish black sounds (smells) like fuel. I.E.- You're running rich.

Yes thats what I thought too, but oil seems to be coming out of my downpipe, which leads me to believe its the seal in the turbo. But the seal couldnt have possibly gone bad because its a brand new turbo. Ill check my plug (relatively new Iridiums) again to see if they have fouled out or something. At least it idles good now.

check your oil return line from the turbo, if its blocked or too restrictive the oil pressure will blow the seals out.

if its a brand new turbo it shouldnt be blowing smoke from the turbo unless it was assembled incorrectly.

Oil return line is good. Comes out from 90 degrees 1/2npt to 12 an fitting to stainless braided line. But before I upgraded the turbo, I had trouble with oem turbos before---actually two of them. One was ****ty from clip and other 14psi. Ill have to take off the turbo and look at it whenever I have time. School suck nuts.

something is definatley up with your oiling system.

dont you find it funny that you have pretty much burned through 3? the one off the clip was broken when you got it, that should have tipped you off to something being wrong with the oiling for the turbo to begin with.

I dont know what could it be. I took it to a shop to look at after the first turbo was not right. They said everything was good. Then second turbo was doing OK until I turn up the boost and turbine blew out the exhaust pipe. Now this crap.

well that second one could have been your fault, the RB turbos dont take kindly to high boost (like above 13)

I know that, but couldnt resist. My brother in law was behind me and just saw a huge fire ball. I pulled over and see peices of ceramic blades in my muffler. What a sight. Anyways, I guess Ill have to bring it to a shop for them to check it again. BTW---Im heading to Phoenix on Thanksgiving for a wedding, how is Arizona like? I have never been there before.
