Hello all,

I have an sr20 red top with a greddy intake manifold, tomei 740cc, ihi t25 and a power FC.

The car idles fine but when i try to rev the engine, it chokes and misfires. If i half throttle it and sort of feather the gas, i can pass the choking and rev it up. Even when i'm driving, when i try to take off from a complete stop, i have to sit there and half throttle it and modulate the throttle to get it to rev past 1 - 2k then i can take off. it does run a little rich but still driveable.

I have checked the tps sensor using the power fc's sensor check feature. at zero throttle, it shows .4 volts and at full throttle, it shows 4 volts. I have also input the injector values into the power fc injector setting.

is there anything else i'm supposed to do?

I get the feeling that the power fc is not set right and is causing this. Is there a setting on the power fc to help with this?

would going to a proper dyno shop solve this prob?

thank you all

Is it the L or D jetro?

If it's the L-jetro you have input what kind of MAF you are running. I run the z32 MAF so i have the VG30 MAF highlighted.

If you have a d-jetro , check your map sensors and all other sensors. Double heck your injector corrections. 50% for each cyclinder and also adjust your lag time for either model.

Also turn your air warning and boost warning off. The little puls sign.

This write up should help.http://paulr33.skylinesaustral...htm#5

I have the Djetro.

I have the injectors set at 50% correction and the latency set at .12.

the way i got these numbers is I took the tomei 740cc and divided it by 370cc (the stock sr20 injector size) to get the 50%.

for the latency, i took .66msec and minused .528 msec (the stock sr20 latency) to get .132 but my power fc won't let me input .132. it lets me pick either .12 or .14 so i chose .12.

would this be ok?

Yeah that shoul dbe fine with your lag time. Make sure you did the idle strat porcedure.

You cannot just set the FC up and drive it. You have to let it learn your setup.

If have not done the start up procedure then initialize it. Turn the car off and turn it back to the ON position without starting it.

Then put in your injector settings and turn off the boost controller form the ETC menu, if you not using the apex-i boost controller kit.

Then start the car and let it idle for 10 minutes don't rev it or touch anything. Then turn on the A/C and let it idle for 10 minutes. Then turn on the defroster and let it idle for 10 minutes.

Then the car should be good to go.

PS if you don;t have AC use anything that will simulate load i.e. radio and headlights. Let it idle for at least 30 minutes.

Thank you for the info. I'll redo the idle learning sequence.
