Ok guys. So i'm new here and have been searching lots of forums but haven't found an answer to this. I have trying to trace wires but have had no luck finding the reason for my trouble. I have a 98' s14 with a rb25 in it that runs good on the stock rb ecu. I did not do the wiring and got the car with the motor already dropped in. I went to install the pfc and first thing when i turned on the key the a relay clicked rapidly and the check engine light did the same. i started testing wires and found that pin 49, 59 and 109 all only had 7.5 volts. so i hooked the oe ecu back up to test it and it showed 12 volts on those 3 wires. soooo i assumed the fc wasn't getting enough power since 2 of these wires have to do with the ecu power supply. so just to test i jumped a wire straight from the ignition into the those three wires on the ecu side and bam, had power but the car wouldn't start. so i then hooked those 3 wires back to original and added the extra ignition wire in the bunch to bring it up to 12 volts and bam, she started and everything. soooo, last part of the puzzle, the fc won't hold any settings once shut off b/c the ignition doesn't stay energized when shut of for long enough to let the fc dump the settings into ram. so i need to figure out what to do to get the eccs power supplies back up to 12 volts instead of 7.5.

sorry for the long first post but any input would be greatly appreciated

ok, so i traced the issue back to the eccs relay. i guess the relay was going bad and while the stock ecu provided enough current to trigger it the pfc did not. swapped the relay out and she fired right up. initialized the pfc and turned off boost control and it jsut sits there and hunts for an idle bouncing between 700 and 1500. so what the heck am i doing wrong now? lol

nothing, the hunting is normal...you're supposed to let it idle for 20 minutes so the pfc can learn the engine's nuances.
