I just bought a brand new power fc, and when installed motor does not turn over, but works fine with stock ecu. also when ley is in ignition, i never get power to the commander unit. any else have this problem ? someone told me i might have the wrong unit for my motor but its for a ecr33 rb25det which is what i have. the only problem i think it could be is i notice when i screw the harness ot the new ecu, it dosent seem to go in evenly i think thats could POSSIBLY be the problem that the harness is not properly seated. i will work onit 2morrow since its cold outside, and i goto colleg :

I had the same problem when I tried the one I had. You have to make sure the Harness goes on all the way flush. Get it started screw a little the try to even out the sides so it goes flush and repeat until fully seated. The PFC seems to be quite a snug fit compaired to the stock ecu. Thats how I got mine to work the first time. If that does not work Then I am not sure.

It's your wiring. The power wire to pin # 58 (white/black) is the problem. It need to have constant battey power. The stock ECU works without that wire hooked up. But the PFC won't work without it.

Check pin #58 for sure. I had the same problem until I read ImissmyTurbo's post. Thanks again.

If you have a test light put the end with the aligator clip on the negative battery terminal. Then touch the pointed end on the terminal in pin # 58 and see if the light lights up(or see 12v on the DVOM). If it doesn't light up you will find that wire (white/black) in the dash conector (big white conector on the RB harness). Run constant power to that wire and the PFC should work. The battery needs to be conected while doing this test.
