Alrite, I just installed a turbo upgrade, fmic, and power fc for my rb25. But when I start the car, the engine wont idle and just jump around and will eventually die off; but sometimes stays on for a while. I also notice oil coming out of my downpipe. You guys know what is going on? I also checked for vacuum leak, but there was none. Thanks

Did you turn the built in boost controler off? It's under the ECT menu I think it's the 1st one. there are only 2 choices yes and no. it's on Yes from the factory so use the no. Ohh it's in JDM lol so go figure, It should idle right after that.

Ok. The turbo was brand new from Precision (GT3251E). I got oil restictor coming from -4 an line-so I dont think it could cause the seal to go bad. I got pfc unit used from Wes (hashiriya13) which I was told that it had stock map . My car was running fine except for a blown turbo which made me do all of these upgrades. The maf is plugged in. The only wiring that I messed with was slicing pin #58 to get constant battery power.

Yes it might have the stock map but it won't idle or run right untill the boost controler option is turned off. If it was reinitialized then you will have to turn that function off. look at it like this, if the car idles good with the stock ECU and then bad with the PFC it's prob the boost controler

Use the commander and go to ETC from the main menu. Then go to Function Select. then #1 is the boost controler kit. if this ±Ø there then change it to the other word which is no.

ON the set up screen there are options for what type of maf you are running make sure the correct one is selected. you can do this why it is running or before you start it. I did the same thing to me the first time i tried it. you have the option to run the rb, 300 zx and i think thew q45. that should do it. also it has a diognastic mode where you can see all of your sensors and what each one is doing and the voltages of the ones that give of a reading. I sent the manual it should talk about the initial setup (i think). try that and let me know. Oh and the boost controller option should be off already.

i tried all of that....it tells you to leave the car on for around 10 min for it learn the idle...but the car would die off before it reaches 4 min from the rough idle.

Did you change ANYTHING else when you installed the PFC?

Thats really strange. Could try and reset the PFC just to make sure. You will have to turn off the boost controler after you do that because it sets it back to the basic settings as it did if it were new.

this is really strange. I was planning to get a power FC for my rb25 too. Keep it update so every one with the rb will know what's going on.

The PFC is fine and it has not been tuned. I bouthg it new put it in my car te toest it for about a week or 2 removed it and then sold it to y3llows14. As I said there has been no tuning on the unit. And if anything did get changed set it back to default. Make sure the plug is plugged in all the way check all the settings and start. If your car will not stay running then I think it is something else. You changed allot of parts all at once. Now if you put your stock computer back in there is no problem after you installed all those parts??? Also what wiring setup do you have? self wired or harness done by someone? check cold and warm idle setting as well and maybe idle it up a little to let it do its learn mode.

Yeah...its not the power fc problem---its just how i install or set it. Just to get things straight--Hashiriya13 item was just as described and a very prompt seller. Its just bugging me how it ran fine with stock ecu. I havent have time to fool with it yet or for the next week or so because of classes. Ill update you guys when I know whats up. Thanks for all of you guys that chime in---and Hashiriya13 for the pfc.
