hey dudes i have a power fc for a 95 s13 engine. i recently heard of the d-jetro map sensor for the power fc. would i be able to upgrade my power fc to use this map sensor or will i have to buy the d jetro computer to use it.

why dont i just use a z32 maf, i want to use the apexi bov, and im interested in getting some experience with this setup.

To use a D-Jetro MAP sensor you need the D-Jetro Power FC. MAP sensors are useful when you are looking for high throttle response on higher horsepower cars. Z32 MAFS and BOV's can be controlled by SAFC's. Power FC's are for more precise fuel control.

man i was afraid of that. ok so if i use the apexi bov with a maf setup , how do i compensate for the air lost since it doesnt recirculate it. or will i have to go with a recirculating valve.

Recirculate, put it a foot before the throttle body, or use a MAP sensor. Those are 3 common solutions.

SAFC's can "compensate" for BOV's by giving the car gas when it senses RPM's dropping too fast. I would imagine Power FC's without D Jetro work that way too. MAFS inst a big deal since there are a lot of electronics that can compensate for it (SAFC's, HKS AFR's, etc).

I'm pretty sure it is the other way around. Cars stall after venting to atmosphere from a sudden rich condition. The injectors are giving enough fuel for the air that has been metered. If you are venting that air you are going to go rich.

By giving the car "gas," I meant the cars gives it a little throttle. It doesnt actually give the car throttle, but it makes the car react as though you tapped the throttle during a stall. It just changes the MAFS signal to make the idle higher for a quick second. Either way it works like ***, all it does is stop the car from dying. The car stalls and the RPM's drop very quickly making smooth shifting difficult.
