My power sliding door (Passenger side) on my 2004 Quest SL closes right after I open it. This has occurred 3 times already and Im concerned for the safety of my child trying to get into the minivan. Has anyone else experienced this problem and what the resolution is?

Power Door Problem
if your saying it opens completely and once it reaches fully open it closes back up? It probably had the limit switches knocked out of wack when they did the door adjustment. test the door for safety. have a sunday paper rolled up and handy near the door. When it happens again grab that paper and put it between the door and the front pillar of the opening. when it pushes on the paper it should open back up. this is a saftey feature designed into the door. As long as that feature works your kids are safe. If they were to get caught in the door when this feature is working it would scare them more then it would hurt them not to mention scaring the hell out of the parent (you).

yeah when? I have been hearing that from tech line and engineering for 3 months. Have you got more insight as to when we are gonna see that fix? I tell ya Jon these van problems are driving me up a wall. between the toaster slots leaking,door rattles, door operation, shifter knob falling off, and seat squeeks I have to wonder if they are still working with ford!!!
