The power locks in my 89 240sx are staying stuck open if you push them in they pop right back to unlocked position. Seems to be a failsafe, wondering if anyone has had the same problem and could give me the way to fix it.

I've had that issue on my 240sx since 2001, only thing I figured out was if the driver side won't let you lock it as you said go to the passenger side from inside the car and push the lock it should close like it has no power, then try to lock the driver door and it will pop back to unlock and it will unlock both, should be able to lock fine.

It's intermittent in my car but it happens, gets annoying because I have an alarm and sometimes it wont lock my doors, if you figure this out let me know, I made a thread about this a few years back and no one helped me

Will do I think ill just start with the basics and try a new lock relay and check my wireing I was just posting this to see if there was a coman problem to save me a little time rather than chasing wires for hours. If its not something simple im almost temted to just disable the power locks and just replace the locks with mechanical this way I know they will always work.

my 240 does this as well, its a problem with the passenger side interior door lock mechanism, I have yet to determine if its the control rod getting bound or the lock mechanism itself but i know its not the lock actuator because i have changed it with a new one.
