Well I've been expecting this for about 100,000 miles, as it was doing it occasionaly even while it was still under warranty, think it would ever do it for the dealer while it was under warranty? Naah! Anyway, can I assume it's the switch on the drivers door? If so I'm in good shape because I have a spare door and all switches on the drivers side. Anything else to check? Thanks.Oh yeah, 92 Q 130,00k, original owner.

Power lock relay can go bad. My power locks fail 2 or 3 times a month.... but not bothering to fix. ('92 Q, 185K miles)

Part is about $25 and located under center console somewhere.

Yeah, that's the deal, stops working for a day and then comes back, I can't figure out why it comes back, same thing happens with TCS, it stops working for a day or two and then it's back, both of these were acting up well beforer the original warrant was up, but not for the dealer to see! I should have been wise enough to insist on them being replaced then.

Relays, relays, relays!!! Any time something sporadically acts up, it's usually a relay that needs to be replaced. Same thing with TCS (not sure where that one is located -- near battery?? -- but common failure item).

Relays are more of a problem on J30s, but Q45s are not immune.

Yep, relays, can't live with em, can't live without em, from research here, there are two different TCS relays, both underneath the battery, $25 from Scottsdale, I'm thinking of doing those so that one of the other drivers in my household is not taken by surprise in the rain. Not looking forward to digging under the console though, the locks always come back after a day, I'm just afraid I'm gonna hit the button and walk away and come back to find my Valentine missing, cause they did not work.

Would this relay cause the whole door to not open?
