power decreases, recovers, decreases during WOT. what can cause this problem?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

hey guys i need some help finding out why is my power decreasing, going back to normal, decreasing, going back to normal during WOT? it wasnt like that before. ill be in first gear wot, around 2500rpm i would feel a power drop, then it'd go back to normal, then around 3700rpm i would the power drop again, then recover, then at 4000rpm i would feel my pdm cams kick-in (usually at this point til redline is full power w/ no problems) then around 4500 the same shh** again. my engine upgrades are pdm cams, headers and exhaust and intake. i never had a problem before even with these upgrades. this shop around my place told me it could be my maf or timing. could there be something else wrong with my car. i would really appreciate the help.

Fuel supply could be an issue. Maybe a failing pump. Clogged fuel filter sounds unlikely but you never know. Oh! Secondary ignition breakdown. My Honda did strange things when the MSD burned a hole through one of the plug wires. The hole was on the plastic piece that went into the tube. sometimes it would fire and sometimes it would miss its butt off. A bit of electrical tape fixed it. But before it finally failed for good it was doing some real strange things when it came to acceleration. Oooo! Thats right! I almost died cause I pulled the plug wire while it was running (power balance test) and when i got that one pulled just a little the arc jumped all over the valve cover. Holy Crap! Be careful! Good luck and dont overlook the MAF....
