I tried searching, but couldnt find my situation. ok this is kinda long, but i need detail. While driving down the highway in fifth gear at about 3500 or 4000 rpms, the car looses all power. I can floor the pedal and nothing happens. I think it may be a fuel cut. When the tach hits 3200, it resumes normal operation. This happens a couple times each hour while driving at this speed. I dont know how fast i am going, my speedo doesnt work. Maybe you guys know whats up. thanks. I can provide more info if you need.

That is your limiter kicking in. try doing a search in either articals or in here on how to remove/bypass the speed/rev limiter.

no if it were a limiter you wouldnt be able to maintain that rpm it would happen every time. if you are cruising at that rpm in fifth when its not acting up can you hammer the throttle, does it accelerate no problem?

yep exactly. I travel alot and each trip is about 2 hours on a 70mph speed limit highway. I drive with the tach between 3500 and 4000 and about 5-10 times a trip it cuts out until rpms drop to 3200 or below and then i resume the speed for a few more minutes. While not acting up, i can floor it at 3500 and it will pull all the way. i dunno, its crazy!
