Power antennae help

Hey the power antennae on my S13 hatch is in the up position. Just wondering how to get it down? Also there is no radio in my car. could that be a reason why it is up? I know for power antennae on most cars they are hooked up to the stereo so they go up when it goes on.. Just wondering if any thing is broken and if the antennae will go down if/when I install a cd player.

A good chance is broke if still up...without a radio should automatically retract...and it did not. When you get a new radio, you are going to need a new antenna or power antenna element....(about 22 bucks on ebay...) or brand new power antenna...
