Power antenna???

How do I remove the exterior trim piece ring that sits on the outside of my antenna, that sits flush with the body. I'm trying to replace my antenna but I do not want to damage the trim piece by not removing it properly. It looks as if the nut and grommet that cover the top of the antenna are missing because the last owner just added some silicon to the trim piece to keep water from entering through the antenna. Do I need to pry it off or do I push it out from the inside?

Yea you push it out from the inside. Did you already take the philps screws out from the outside?
