Power Antenna

My power antenna doesnt work, and i have determined it to be a broken belt in the mast. The mast may be bent too. I cant find a replacement mast for a 94q, but i have found a few for a 97-up Q. Are they compatible, because i have searched many places on the internet and i can find it.

While im at it, I am needing to get the leather fixed. There is a rip and some cracks in the driver side, and the passenger has a few cracks. How much can i expect to pay for this. This really makes such a nice car look trashy.

Unfortunately I know your pain. I have a 90Q that had the same problem. I will tell you that my fix was that I had a buddy turn the radio on and off while i doused the thing in WD-40 and it works like a charm now. If that doesn't work call Joe at Scottsdale. He should have a good price for you.

Run a search in our infiniti general section on "upholstery" or "leather" and you will find a plethora of solutions. Fred especially has some really good posts. A little searching will go a long way.

I assume that even when the antenna is fully extended, the belt is still supposed to stick out of the end a little.

So are the 97 masts compatible with the 94?

More than just a little. Has to be long enough to reach the motor about 1' away and also wrap around the drive gear once or twice.

Don't use WD40! It causes the plastic bushings inside the unit to swell and you'll have to replace the whole thing instead of just the mast.

Then i need a new mast, because there is no belt coming out the end unless i put it down most the way.

Anyone know where i can get one???? Looked on ebay, no luck
