Power antenna Question

does the power antenna always go up when the CD player is on?i installed a new radio and even when the radio is on CD the antenna goes up...and the car is a 92 240sx coupe

on my last radio it would only go up when i would switch to FM or AM radio and then go back down when i switch to CD...is there something to the wiring?

It all depends on the head unit you installed. Some send out a signal as soon as you turn it on others are smarter, also did the unit have a separate wire for amp remote/on and power antenna?

i used to have a deh-800r in mine, (it's in my gf car now) it only put up the antenna when the radio was on make sure you wired it up right.
