I've got a variation on the broken power antenna problem. The plastic tail (with the teeth cut into it) that hangs out of the antenna mast seems to be intact, it extends down 6 or 10 inches below the antenna when the antenna is fully extended. Most people complain that their mast is broken, but mine seems intact. The problem is that when I turn the ignition on, the antenna motor keeps running until *after* it has ejected all of the plastic tail and then antenna has fallen over. It's like it doesn't realize that the antenna is fully extended and just keeps going.I can then stick the antenna back in, turn the ignition off and have the motor pull the plastic tail and all of the antenna mast back down into the car. Turn the ignition back on and the same thing happens; the motor runs until after it's spit the whole antenna out. I don't use the radio for much besides NPR and traffic reports, but I'm tired of having the antenna laying around. Has anyone else seen this problem?

Try replacing the antenna mast. They usually cost around $20-40 depending on the year. If that doesn't work, then maybe repace the whole motor assembly.

I had the same problems where i could still hear the motor running after the antenna was fully extended and when it was retracted.

Just replace it. I've replaced mine twice, they're only like 20 bux. I keep going though the carwash with it up like an idiot and breaking it. It's broken right now :(
