power antenna fuse

my power antenna is broken, but the motor is trying to push it up and down when i turn the car on and off. Id like to just pull the fuse on the damn thing to get it to shut up, anyone know where the fuse is, id rather not pull off the interior panel and snip the wires

you could easily unplug it by opening trap door removing jack, if thats there, and unplugging small plug to motor (2 wire) that should work

eh, i guess ill end up doing that, i just was hoping there would be a fuse that i could just pull and leave the motor connected, nissan wanted 17o bucks for a new antenna mast, and i wasnt havin gthat, i dont even like hte big antenna, kills the lines of hte car, thanksf or yoiur response, appreciat eit

Yes.. my antennae was kinda going up and down akwardly so i yanked it out. the motor takes like 20 seconds everytime i turn on and off car trying to push it up. its annoying. but im lazy. most radio blows anyone

you can get a small metal antenna that goes behind the rear view mirror, its like $20 and appearently ets better reception than stock.

well i still get reception, but the antenna is broken of and only about 2inches of it sticks out of hte lil hole, but hte motor still turns on trying to push the rest of it out as if it were still there, so i just planned on yanking the fuse

just unplug it from your headunit. get a wiring diagram if you need to, but the wire should be labeled power antenna

well i get reception as of now, i dont want to kill the antenna (and my reception) i just want to kill the motor, and thanks for the link, but i dont want a power antenna, if i had it my way id shave that biotch off, but i dont have the money for that either

That store has more than just replacement masts. You can replace your antenna with a flexable short black one...only 20 bucks, thats what Im doing.

u can get new anntennae rods off ebay for your 240.mine does the same thing, the fuse goes off to separate components like the cd player so if you take the fuse out it'll make the radio not work.

hey guys, i finally got around to 'unpluggin' the motor, but i can't reach the dman thing, cna i just snip the wire that powers the motor going from the motor to the antenna? theres a blue wire (which i already accidentally cut that apparently didnt do anything), a black wire (assuming ground?), *two* red/black wires, a solid black wire and a green wire, anyone happen to know which one to cut?

you should have a plug with just two wires in it to the motor and another plug with several wires in it to the plastic box on it. the 2 plug is what you want

problem might be is that the gears that operate the power antenna are cracked and/or broken. This happens pretty much with power antennas. If you want to keep it moving up and down, go find replacement gears or go buy a new antenna unit (probably expensive).
