My friend works for Renu powdercoating...105 alder st.west babylon ny 11704631-249-renu

i bet you have places in your area though, just look up powdercoating.

its the best proces...it literally maks your rims look brandnew, and takes out all imperfections too.

Its a process of electrically coating pigment to various grounded metals. Basically they electrocute some particles which in tern makes them fuse with whatever metal it is you are powdercoating. They use colored, powdery pigments and its vastly superior to liquid painting. It costs more, but its a lot more durable and even. Powdercoating is great, its along the same lines as annodizing metal.

Would it take out imperfections caused by what looks like brake fluid damage?

My friend just got a set of rims and the clearcoat is ruined on two of them. I suggested that he powdercoat all four to make them all match.

They are VW 14" teardrops. Would they also be able to do multiple colors? I think he might want another color on the teardrop area.

Thanks.

Its perfectly shinny if you use a gloss powdercoat, or a clean coat...every rim ive ever seen him do they've done w/ a gloss, and its been plenty shinny.

Stan-just give them a call, they'd be better to talk to then me.

it'll take it out allright. mainly because the paint will have to be removed from the wheels first.

Do they come out as shiny as a stock rim? I would just like to get the rims sanded down and re clear coated.
