Painted with high temp paint with high temp clear. It's now black though, wanted to retain the original color of the valve cover.LSB_11 wrote:got any pics?
How much? If I had the option, I would have powdercoated mine. I want nice black color.gsxrbg wrote:i want to powdercoat it because thats what we do we powdercoat parts plus if you spray it then you have a better chance of chipping it,with the powdercoat you could drop it and it will still be fine.please let me know we have alot of customers wanting sr covers done, we just got a new candy apple red and it looks sick we shoot it over a coat of chrome
I had the choice of gloss black, OSHA red (blech), CAT-yellow, and a "maybe" on John Deere Green. I thought long and hard about JD Green since I interned with them for a summer, but chose this instead:gsxrbg wrote:we have hundreds of colors (even hi-temp , or good old john deer green)
Powdercoated, with 300-grit used to remove the coating from the letters.Blown240sx wrote:IS that Powder Coated ^^ Or Painted? It looks nice.
One of my teammates actually worked for a company that powdercoated parts as one step in the manufacturing process, so it was free. I did all the prep, including the beadblasting. I can post some pictures if you want.Blown240sx wrote:Wow.... How much was it? To be done?
