Has anyone had powdercoat applied to anything you own?
I have read up on the pros/cons/and even seen some DIY guides, but I'm curious if anyone here has done any of this recently and can offer a first hand review.

How much did it cost you per unit?
Satisfied with the quality?

This is for the sport 20" wheels and akebono brake calipers.

I had a set of 17" BMW wheels powdercoated locally. They stripped and applied a silver PC, it cost me about $400 without a clear PC on top. I was cheap and opted against it, but looking back, I would definitely do a clear layer on top. This was about 3-4 years ago. I'm sure prices haven't changed much and will vary depending on wheel size. PC is durable enough to resist chipping from road debris.

First I think that's the best way to do it, powder coating is awesome. I was going to do a set of sport 19's and they wanted I think $90/ea. Didn't end up doing it in actually getting ready to sell that set.

I might do asset of 17's for the wife's car, good luck

Please post up the place. I'm far from NY, but I'm pretty sure someone else would benefit from it

And thank you for the numbers. It helps me with my planning. My sport 20s are scuffed badly. I'm hanging at that point between repairing them or trying to buy new ones for just slightly more.

Same thing on the brakes. The m56 ones are ok, but I'm considering getting some for the M45... or just paying the stupid prices for a rebuilt & powdercoated set.
