So again, I redid something that was done poorly the first time. Took my valve covers to my friends place to have him powdercoat them. Done in gunmetal--

Everything still threads in fine. He gave me a deal on it because I am helping him promote his business. Most of his 'clientelle' is from the DSM community and I am trying to help him get some Nissan customers. Hoping people will see my stuff and be like, "hey, that looks real nice...where can I get that done?". You know, that kind of stuff. Keep in mind, he's not some kid who went out and bought a $100 kit off ebay. He's 31, married, kids, dog, etc... lol. He has an incorportated business. He spent a lot of money getting this going. His oven is large enough to fit an S13 subframe in it if that means anything. And his work is second to none.

As for the previous work. It was horrible. The last guy who did it did no prep work. When the new place hit it with the bead blaster, the old coating literally fell off. It wouldn't have lasted a week on the car.

Here is his ebay store so you can see some of his colors/work--http://stores.ebay.com/UNDER-PSI-Coatings

Well, it depends on the valve cover really as far as sending one back. For the CA, they would be a send em and get them back type deal since there just isn't any extra valve covers floating around. The DSM ones are a dime a dozen in the junkyards, so sending in yours isn't really necessary.

looks really nice, there is alot more to it then you think! and prep work has to be done right. we just got a small setup our building had a large oven in it already for somthing else but it works great for powder coating, we have been doing a bunch of parts for free for customers that we are building cars for presently its a promotional thing and practice.
