Silent Drifter...email me pics if you got em. Those sounds awesome. I really want 15s but I am having a hell of a time finding ones that I like. Bronze and gunmetal are my favorite rim colors (all of the cars I have built on GT3 are white w/ bronze rims) How did you polish the lip? I have a few curb rashes, so mabye I'll just bust out the dremel w/ the polishing bit.[email protected]

I dont have a way of uploadin the pics sorry, but what i did was i sanded the wheels down to get out as much curb rash as I could. Then I used glossy black spray paint, did like 3 layers of that. Then I used 2 layers of clear coat. Then I just took a dremel took an went around the lip to get it back to silver. Then just clear coated over that so it wont rust. My rims look like the ones in the pic but have a silver lip around them and my center cap is still silver. Plus my car is white.

Thanks for the write up! What brand/finnish paint did you use? Did you leave your tires on?

The only issue I have with power coating wheels is the heat used to cure the finish. That is very harsh on the alloy and is not such a good idea. None of the wheel companies suggest doing that in the aftermarket. That loss of strength has to be taken into account when they design the wheel's casting. It's just like chorme, it weakens the alloy a lot. You're much better off having them painted.
