Yea that was the first thing I ever powdercoated so I had no idea how to make or anything, it was done for a personal friend.

Dont worry man I'll still hook you up. What other things do you wanna get coated?

Well I like how that thermostat housing turned out as well. Can you do the intake manifolds for the ka24de? I have mine off right now and it looks like total arss... Also can you do the throttle body on the dohc? or will it melt that piece you were talking about...? Could you also hook me up with that same kind of powder coating on my valve cover? I just want the intake mani a grey color or silver with like a glossy finish to it not the wrinkle effect...

I can do the Intake manifolds, they break into 2 pieces so it will make it easier.

As for the Throttle body. If you can disassemble it than I can coat it. If I remember correctly the TB has a plastic bearing that will melt. If the TB was 100% metal than there would be no problem.

So you wanna do a Black chrome which is the color of that thermostat housing. I can do that for you. If you can disassemble the TB than $170 Shipped. If you cant $140 Shipped.

I have a couple motorcycle parts that I would love to send you! (I am repo's little brother) I saw the single cam valve cover and thats how I feel about it. SO... here is a pic of what I would send you. It is a trim ring and a cast metal piece. Both are currently chrome (there's chrome under the black paint, but the black paint was removed). There are little red arrows in the pic but they are somewhat hard to see. I would request flat black for the projector surround and black chrome for the trim ring. And depending on price, I would send the handlebar your way for some black crinkle. I'd love to know how much and how fast! Thanks.

I'll have to ask the pros on the powder coating forum on how to do the chrome parts. In order to get a good coat it has to be bare metal however chrome can be powdercoated no problem just want to make sure its not a problem down the road.

With Handle bars $70 Shipped, without $40 Shipped.

I just got some flat black in a few days ago :p

Turn around time is usually a week plus shipping time.

Awesome. Let me know if I should have these things sand blasted to get rid of the chrome. It is not that big of a deal for me to go get em stripped.

How much for rb26 pieces.. timing cover, cam gear back cover, timing gear front cover, valve covers, and the spark plug cover..

I am seeking the maroon texture you have on your sig... but particularly the intensity that is shown on the bolt hole of that ecu...

$150 Shipped for all the pieces.

I experimented more with that silver vein and I think I perfected it.

Any prep work that needs to be done?

Edit: I am liking the silver veins, I like mine done in same cept maroon instead of silver.

My price includes all the prepping, shipping, and powder.

The Silver Vein is the base coat than I throw on the Red. I just posted the pic to show you that I was able to figure out how to get consistancy.

Also just so you know the effect is only visible up close. From a few feet away the covers will look just like a Candy Red. Here are some examples I did for a friend on his 1JZ.

Yeah, I realized that it will be different at distance.

BTW what is the price if I do the prep work, besides final surface clean up before coating?

How close could you get to this (It's Duplicolor metal cast orange):

Let me know!

Also would this be achievable with a 1 or 2 stage powder?

Oh and one last thing... What's the progress in getting better equipment and doing other things than valve covers?

The closest I can get to that is either candy orange or candy burnt orange. I'd probably say Candy Burnt Orange.

Im not limited to types of object Im just limited to space. Trust me I would love to do bigger stuff but the required oven costs about $3000-$10000. If it fits your standard kitchen oven and is metal I can coat it.
