Whats a rough idea of what it will cost to get a valve cover powder coated? I don't like the stock look, but want it to look good and last. Someone tried to paint the valve cover before on my car and it looks like shi*, so time to make it look good.

Nevermind, answered my own question. Is $50-60 for a two color job a good deal? Valve cover one color with the words a different color.

I met these guys at nopi and they seemed pretty knowledgeable about what they were doing. I would give them a call and see.

Where did you get your quote from?

It all depends on what they have to do to it.

If they are going to have to sandblast it before they coat it, which is a possibility, then hell yeah, that's a great price. I work for a powder coating company but we only do large batches... but I could probably get some pricing info at least to tell you how good of a quote that is.

Depends on temperature and the kind/brand of powder used.

What *is* the typical temp of an engine compartment anyway?

I do know that the curing process alone is 250-450 degrees F, depending again on the kind/brand. So it would probably be fine for a valve cover.
