Id love to do mine in sunset candy orange, like this

Oh snap nice. Just knock off $10 for single stage color.

That SR cover is multiple stages, pretty much base coat, candy coat. That would be about $50 locally.

The closest I can get to that color would be Candy Burnt Orange.

I dont have any in stock I'd have to order from my supplier.

If you stuck with the mirror black than $35 picked up.

I only have 2 reds in stock. Super Mirror Red and Candy Red.

This is how my valve covers came out. Its gold vein base with Candy Red on top.

I also have Candy Orange in stock, havent used it yet.

Mirror red? that sounds wierd, any pics of that?

And as far as the orange, nah, i just like the sunset one cause its that badass sunset color that i love, plus its more of a redish orange as opposed to straight up orange

How much would it be to get that color?

Im thinking i might go with the candy red or the black for now. How much would candy red be to just drop it off and pick it up?

edit: actually, would it be possible to mix the candy orange with the candy red to get a similar color to that? that sounds like it would be pretty sweet, or maybe one coat of each or somthing

also, where in boca are you?

Heres a pic of Mirror Red. Usually Mirror just means high gloss.

its very difficult to try and find sunset orange. I looked at my other suppliers. I have a account with NIC Industries which has 6500 colors and cant find any that hit it spot on.

What do you think about this red.

Thats called Dormant red.

Candy Red would be $50

unfortunatly with powder coating mixing isnt like liquid paints where you'll actually get a different color. Powder Coating is actually a pulvarized plastic so think of it has a microscopic dots and wont mix.

And doing one of each coat will actually make the coating darker because your preventing light from reflecting.

Im across the street from Sweet Tomatoes but I do the work in my buddies garage.

I am really digging that black textured finish. How does your service work if I may ask? Do I ship you my valve cover, coat, ship out or are you selling these on an exchange basis? I have a spare cover laying around that I would really like to have done up.

Well theres several ways to do it. You can A. Ship yours to me and I'll coat it ship it back. B. Do a core exchange usually this invovles $50 core charge that is refundable. C. for $20 I go to the junkyard and pick up a cover and not worry about a core exchange.

yeah, so you live in boca, i'm right out in lake worth. how much would the sohc vc and upper intake mani be? haven't really decided on a color, and do you do the prep work, or you want me to sand it down and what not?

The prep work is included in my prices. Is the SOHC intake manifold broken down into 2 pieces like the CA is? Im concerned about the sheer size of the IM and if it will fit my oven. But if it can be broken down into 2 shouldnt be a problem.

no reason to worry, just the upper part of the intake mani. basically the brick type looking part. it will fit in the oven. i want both the intake mani, and vc to match, but like i said, i've not yet decided on a color. you got a link to what colors you have and maybe pictures of said color on an object?
