my friends eclipse was recently attacked by a pothole, tire went in and the pothole didnt let go....ripped the whole assembly up to the transmission right out...

you sure that was a pothole that he hit vis? sounds more to me like he hit an unforgiving body-builder

wow... I'm speachless.... I've seen some bad potholes, but never one that solely took apart the wheel assembly to the transmission... wow...

How about one that literally engulfs an entire car? When I lived in Rochester, NY, some poor lady from Maryland was on a buisness trip, and travelling on I-590 North, she was literally swallowed by a pothole. Luckily it was a rental (Chevy Malibu) but the entire front half of the car was about 3 and a half feet into the ground. Now that's a big pot hole.
